Pietersite is a rare, Namibian mineral discovered in the early 1960’s. It’s thunderous chatoyancy is credited to the blue crocidolite inclusions within the mineral, which breaks the continuous linear luminescence seen in Tiger’s Eye with chaotic golden swirls. While these blue inclusions may disrupt its natural golden flows, Pietersite reminds one that unexpected flaws are a part of one’s greater narrative. It asks one to celebrate the realities of life and opportunities for growth.
